About Us

In 2007, Founder and Owner Trisha Smith had a dream. In Portsmouth, RI,  She was a single mother raising 2 children on a small salary and was barely being paid enough in child support to make ends meet, she developed an idea that would become successful to her. By creating Posh and Naughty, she made a storefront available for women and couples to enter a place where they did not feel uncomfortable or embarassed to purchase items that would make them feel good about themselves. Trisha provided a service to women, meeting various people with many different backgrounds, she was able to obtain experience by working with people and helping them with their goals by steering them towards items that would enhance themselves and relationships with each other.
With much publicity and public cheers and very few jeers, she was forced to change locations because her "Gureilla Marketing" techniques caused a stir within the local community and caused her then landlord to punish her by enforcing unwarranted legal action to evict based on an honest accounting mistake, she bounced one rent check and he used that rent check to essentially evict her. With no other cause to cancel the lease and much success Trisha was gaining, she won a Stay from the Rhode Island Supreme Court and instead of fighting, Trisha chose to move her location to Tiverton, RI. In Tiverton, it did not work out for Trisha because of the lack of pedestrian and drive through traffic. After obtaining a full time career with the Government, Trisha yearned for the opportunity to start over again. She opened her Posh and Naughty store in Warwick RI, April 2009 after leaving her full time career. Within months, Trisha worked her "Gureilla Marketing" magic and got recognition again from the locals and received publicity that got her through most of the winter of 2009. January 2010 Trisha got engaged and her priorities changed for the better. Deciding again that the location in Warwick was not a good fit, she closed her doors in February 2010 and became a homemaker and in 2011 a born again Christian. "Belief the size of a mustard seed can move any mountain"- Trisha stated. " I have the belief, it just happens there are so many mountains". "I am never going to give up".
2012: Time for a new beginning. Trisha has decided to take all of her Knowledge, Skills and Abilities and is branding herself as not only the One and Only Original Ms. Posh and Naughty, but going to expand into the home sales market. Creating a new collection of wearable clothing, T-Shirts that people recognize the brand and bringing in new lines that she says touches "your Soul's Core".
Trisha is Not here to flaunt dis-tasteful line of products that make the impression of impropriety but to open up and empower women and couples to look into themselves and be that person they know they can be.  Posh and Naughty is fun and exciting. It's being luxurious and deviant. A way of life, yet the lifestyle is individually tailored on the needs of each person. Trisha is a great person to know, a delight to meet and full of excitement that will help you on your path to your Wildest Dreams or Soul's Core.
